BIO

Sylvia Elizondo was born in Monterrey, Mexico where she graduated from Interior Design School.

In 1989 she opened her own business called “Art Décor” where she offered Design consultations as well as sales of decorating materials such as fabrics, wallcoverings, floorcoverings, window coverings, etc. Later in 1995 she moved to Atlanta, GA where she took several continuing education courses and became a member of  IIDA and a Feng Shui Certified Consultant.

She returned back to Mexico in 1997 and opened her Design Studio called “Arquinteriores” where she worked with a team of Architects and Designers doing renovations and Design Projects.

In 2005 she moved to Los Angeles, CA in search of new experiences.She has done several Residential and Commercial projects in the Hollywood Hills, Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Palm Springs and San Diego, CA.
She is Certified in the state of California.

Her style goes from traditional to contemporary, eclectic or modern depending on the architecture of her projects.
Her work has been published in different media and has authored several articles for newspapers and magazines about Interior Design and Feng Shui.

She has served as a member of the Editorial Board and Consultant to the Fashion and Decoration editors of “El Norte” newspaper in her hometown Monterrey, Mexico.

Professional member of IIDA, International Interior Design Association and Fellow Member of SMI-IFI, Sociedad Mexicana de Interioristas.

On December 2008 she was honored with the Design Excellence Award by SMI-IFI, Sociedad Mexicana de Interioristas for her experienced Interior Design practice in Mexico and the United States.

She starts 2009 introducing an innovative way of doing Interior Design by combining it with different techniques such as Space Organizing, Practical Feng Shui and Sustainability as a way of creating solutions to actual world challenges.

By the end of 2009  she was named President for the Northern Region of SMI-IFI, Sociedad Mexicana de Interioristas and Fellow Member of CIDI, Consejo Iberoamericano de Disenadores de Interiores.

BIOGRAFIA

Sylvia Elizondo nació en Monterrey, México en donde se graduó en Diseño de Interiores.
In 1989 abrió un negocio llamado “Art Décor” donde ofrecía  asesoría en decoración así como la venta de materiales decorativos tales como telas, tapices, alfombras, persianas, cortinas, etc.

Mas tarde en 1995, cambio su residencia a la ciudad de Atlanta, GA en donde tomo varios cursos de educación continua, se convirtió en miembro profesional de IIDA, International Interior Design Association y se certifico como Consultora de Feng Shui.

Regresa a  México en 1997 y abre su propio estudio de Diseño el cual llamo  “Arquinteriores” en donde junto a un equipo de Arquitectos y Diseñadores hacia remodelaciones y proyectos de Diseño nivel residencial y comercial.

Ocho anos después, en 2005 partió a  Los Ángeles, CA en búsqueda de nuevas experiencias en donde se estableció como Diseñadora Independiente e hizo varios proyectos residenciales y comerciales en aéreas como Hollywood Hills, Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Palm Springs y San Diego, CA.
Es Diseñadora Certificada en el estado de California.

Su estilo va desde lo tradicional a lo contemporáneo, ecléctico o moderno, dependiendo de la arquitectura de los proyectos. Su trabajo ha sido publicado en diferentes medios y ha colaborado escribiendo artículos sobre decoración y feng shui  para periódicos y revistas además de dar conferencias.

En 2001 fue miembro del Consejo Editorial de la Sección de Moda y Decoración del Periódico “El Norte” llamada “Acentos” en su ciudad natal Monterrey, N.L.

Es miembro profesional de IIDA, International Interior Design Association y miembro honorario de SMI-IFI, Sociedad Mexicana de Interioristas.

En Diciembre del  2008 fue reconocida con el Premio a la Excelencia en el Diseño otorgado por SMI-IFI, Sociedad Mexicana de Interioristas por su trayectoria profesional  tanto en México como en Estados Unidos.

Empieza el 2009 introduciendo una innovadora manera de aplicar el Diseño de Interiores al combinarlo con diferentes técnicas tales como la Organización de Espacios, Feng Shui Practico y Sustentabilidad como una forma de ofrecer soluciones a problemáticas actuales a nivel mundial.

A finales del 2009 fue nombrada Presidente de la Region Norte de  SMI-IFI, Sociedad Mexicana de Interioristas y Miembro Honorario de  CIDI, Consejo Iberoamericano de Diseñadores de Interiores.
